Trick Or Treat!

We went out Trick or Treating with the the neighbors this year. We had a great time! One of the best things about public school & bus stops is how well you get to know your neighbors!

Joshua and Charlie

Joshua was worried maybe he dropped some candy

"Wait GUYS!!!" shouted Joshua...many times

Stephen was a runner and a leader. He was running in front and yelling at everyone, telling them where to go. I had to work with him a lot to calm down and walk with everyone...to include his little brother. No, I am not kidding, I am talking about STEPHEN

Evie and Stephen were quite a pair. They were holding hands often throughout the experience. Ahhhh....

The build up to Halloween

We had a good time this year getting ready for Halloween and enjoying pre-Halloween festivities.

We have the costumes on, ready for photos!

Trunk Or Treat at the Southeast Church of Christ, a.k.a Joshua's school

A great chance to see Stephen, Caylie, Emma, Nate, and Joshua all in the same place! Once again!

October with Joshua

I knew certain things would be hard to attend without Stephen. Going to the pumpkin patch and attending a Halloween party with my playgroup have become some of my Stay at Home Mommy annual events. I cherish that I get to focus on this time with Joshua, but, leaving Stephen behind is hard...even though he is getting to enjoy events at school AND I did these things with him alone, too.

Joshua was pretty done with the Monkey head hood in these pictures..but, he is a cute monkey. He wanted this "ooh ooh ahh ahh" costume...no hesitation on this decision!

Stephen's kinder sing

Sean is out of town and missed Stephen's kinder sing...so I am posting for him to see the show tonight!

People who have gone before us have said this is super cute & they were right!
Joshua was very impressed-I didn't have to pull out any of the toys I brought...a whole backpack full!
Grandma and Grandpa Koehler and Grandma Cupitt and Aunt Beth, Uncle Brandon, Will and Abby were all present for the big show!

Watch it!

Family Day, Part 2

We came home from tball. Joshua fell asleep in the car. I did some work for my bassoon studio, then I also layed down and took a nap. I woke up, came downstairs to find Stephen asleep on the couch. Nap=sick in Stephen's life. Sure enough, Sean said he had a 101 fever while I was sleeping.

So, Stephen slept.
I took Joshua to Will and Abby's bday party. Sean and Stephen came a little later, but, we kept Stephen far away from everyone else. No one got germs from Stephen.
Will and Abby's party was great fun and I kind of enjoyed napping, slowly getting dressed, and enjoyed sitting and watching the party while snuggling Stephen. It's a great way to spend a lovely fall day: relaxed.

Some cute Joshua sayings to remember:

He calls himself "Shasha". Most everyone has latched onto ShaSha and calls him that, too.
Joshua has started calling Stephen "my brother"...sounds like "my budder" this week. He likes to run through the whole family, "mommy, daddy, my brudder"

I have been Amy a lot to Joshua. He is out of calling me Amy right now. I went from Amy to MeeMee in the last phase.

Tonight ShaSha blamed a poop on CeeCee a.k.a Gracie...then he laughed, "no, you, you, you" when I told him it wasn't Gracie's poop.

Family Day, Part 1

Today is Will and Abby's birthday party, so, Jason, Kara, Molly and Britten are in town.

This morning Stephen had tball pictures at 7:40am. Ouch. So, we loaded up to take him to be photographed. Then we drove through the neighborhood window shopping through the community-wide garage sale. Then it was tball game time! Everyone came! Stephen is doing much better at tball this year!

Then we took a group picture and headed to the playground for post game activities.

Next up for the day--nap and then Birthday party!!
