Doc Appt

Joshua is 6 months old today! I can't believe we have been through half a year together.
Today at the doc's office, he weighed 17 lbs, 4 oz. He was 27 and 5/8 in. His weight was average and his length is above average. All of this is SMALLER than Stephen! Stephen was 18 lbs, 10 oz and 28 in. Crazy.

The bad news came with the ear exam. He has a double ear infection. Even though he was laughing for the nurse and laughing for the doctor, he still came out with a script for antibiotics.

Hindsight is 20/20. He had been sick and started being my happy little boy again on Wednesday. He also slept through the night for several nights in a row...ending on Thursday. So, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights were nights of being up with Joshua 3 or 4 times. Then, he slept through the night last night. He woke up congested again, making think we may be starting the next round of sickness. It really doesn't make all that much sense. The doctor tried to point out the sleeping issues were a sign of infection, but, it's hard to see sleeping issues when sleeping has always been an issue. But-at least I have hope now that Joshua IS ready to sleep through the night and it is becoming the new norm.

Now, if only I could sleep through the whole night as the norm...
