Up All NIght

We were up all night, but not because we were worried about our house and anxiously watching the news. Little Mr. Joshua kept us up most of the night, sleeping in little spurts here and there. He has a runny nose that is making him miserable. Thankfully, this is a first for him-both the sickness and the up-all nightness.

So, we are really tired.

But, tired is temporary in our lives. According to our neighbors, our house is without power, but is not damaged. We have two sections of fence that will need to be repaired, but that is it. Hallelujah. Some of our neighbors lost their oak trees, but, ours made it through.

We will head home at some point, basing our decision on getting power back and Beth's condition. I called her this morning and she isn't having any contractions.

**update at 10am: Brandon and Beth's house is OKay, too. Our neighbor drove over to their neighborhood to look in on it for them. We are so blessed to have good friends! As long as the water is not going to rise anymore, they should be fine. However, the houses across the street from them are sitting in about 4 ft of water.
